8-Day Kenya Classic Wildlife & Birding Safari

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and travel towards Amboseli National Park. Arrive at Ol Tukai Lodge for lunch before heading out for your first afternoon game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Its wetlands and open plains also attract a wide variety of bird species, making it an excellent destination for both wildlife and bird photography. Keep watch for elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes and numerous waterbirds. Return to Ol Tukai in the evening for dinner. After breakfast, depart Amboseli and travel towards Lake Naivasha, passing through scenic Kenyan landscapes and the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, watching for hippos, African fish eagles and other waterbirds. Continue to Crescent Island for a guided walking safari. Walk among giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and antelopes while enjoying close encounters with wildlife in a peaceful setting. Return to the resort in the evening. Enjoy a full day exploring the Masai Mara. Set out early with your guide when wildlife and bird activity are at their best. Spend the day exploring the open grasslands, riverine areas and different habitats of the reserve. Search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest, while keeping an eye on the skies and surrounding vegetation for the Mara's diverse birdlife. During the migration season, your guide can also monitor the Mara River and surrounding areas depending on current wildlife movements.
