After breakfast, enjoy your final moments in Samburu before transferring to the airstrip for your Safarilink flight from Samburu/Kalama Airstrip to the Masai Mara. Fly south towards the world-famous Masai Mara, with its endless grasslands and extraordinary concentration of wildlife. On arrival at Keekorok Airstrip, meet your safari guide and begin your game drive en route to Elewana Sand River Masai Mara. Today is dedicated entirely to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Set out after breakfast for a full-day safari, exploring the open savannah in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife. The Mara is also famous for its seasonal wildebeest migration. Depending on the time of year and wildlife movements, your guide will focus on areas offering the best opportunities for memorable sightings. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve before continuing your afternoon exploration. Return to camp later in the day for a relaxing evening surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and transfer to Keekorok Airstrip. Board your scheduled flight from the Masai Mara to Ukunda Airport, Diani. Today brings one of the highlights of your coastal holiday. After an early breakfast, your transfer takes you to the KWS floating jetty in Shimoni, arriving at approximately 8:30 AM. Board a traditional Arabian-style dhow and receive a welcome from the crew, with Kenyan tea or coffee and biscuits served onboard. Cruise through the beautiful waters towards Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park, keeping watch for dolphins along the way. Enjoy guided snorkelling in the protected marine waters, where you can discover colourful coral reefs and tropical fish. Depending on sea conditions, you will visit two snorkelling locations or enjoy extended time in the water. Continue to Wasini Island for a delicious seafood lunch featuring fresh crab and fish, with chicken and vegetarian options available. After lunch, relax in the peaceful island surroundings before returning by dhow across the Wasini Channel to Shimoni. There may also be an opportunity for a short forest walk depending on the tides. A visit to the Shimoni Slave Caves Community Project can also be included as part of the experience.
